A Ninety Six man was arrested Sunday after he reportedly held a woman against her will at his home and raped her. Martell Antwine Hamilton Jr., 32, of 811 McKenzie Rd., Ninety Six, has been charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping in connection with the incident.

The commission of six people needed to vet projects for the upcoming capital project sales tax referendum was officially set Monday night as the final three members were appointed. The City of Greenwood appointed Nicholas Beasley, rector of Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, and Anne Gunby, a local realtor, to the commission.

County patrol car damaged in crash

A patrol car belonging the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office was damaged in a single vehicle crash early Monday morning. The crash occurred along Kinard Road in Ninety Six just before 5 a.m. Monday morning, according to John Long, officer in charge of professional standards for GCSO.
