Aiken's Chad Carter shot 2-over-par 74 and is three shots behind leader Jack Parrott, 2014 South Carolina Golf Association Junior champion, after the first round of the SCGA Junior Championship at the Links at Stono Ferry. Parrott, a Columbia native who became Junior champion at Willow Creek Golf Club then earned runner-up honors last year at Dunes Golf and Beach Club, looks to reclaim the title this year.
